Sara Khan is a trial attorney and litigator who focuses her practice on representing clients who have suffered catastrophic injuries.
Ms. Khan began her legal career clerking in Massachusetts Superior Court for Judge James R. Lemire. Post clerkship, she served as an Assistant District Attorney where she represented the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the prosecution of criminal cases from arraignment through trial. During her career as an Assistant District Attorney, she was one of three Assistant District Attorneys in a unit that prosecuted approximately 2,000 cases annually. Additionally, she successfully prosecuted a First-Degree Murder trial in the case of Commonwealth v. Amran, where she obtained a guilty verdict with a mandatory sentence of life without parole.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Khan practiced defense litigation in the areas of products liability, contracts, premises liability and insurance coverage for over three years at a boutique civil litigation firm in San Francisco. In that position, Ms. Khan handled cases at all stages of litigation and successfully defensed a 3-million- dollar claim for a Forbes Top 50 client after a 6-week jury trial and most recently, obtained a defense verdict for a million-dollar claim as lead counsel in a jury trial. Ms. Khan has significant trial experience, participating in over 30 trials since the onset of her legal career. Ms. Khan is a polyglot who loves to travel, with fluency in Bengali, Hindi and Urdu with conversational ability in Spanish and Mandarin.
