Buffalo Wild Wings Employee Struck by Car and Seriously Injured in Lynnfield

A Buffalo Wild Wings employee was critically injured during opening weekend celebrations for the company’s new location. Nicole Bruno, 24 of Lynnfield, Ma, suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Route 9, the site of the new location.

On Sunday December 22, Bruno came out to help with the opening in Shrewsbury. There seems to have been an understanding that Buffalo Wild Wings employees were authorized to park at the Shrewsbury Credit Union building, just across Route 9 along its Northbound side. According to the police report for this incident, Bruno was hit attempting to cross the Westbound lane. She had successfully crossed the Eastbound lane before being struck by the 2011 Mazda that was being driven by Eileen Murray, 56, of Shrewsbury, Ma. Murray was not injured in the accident.

The Shrewsbury Fire department “found a female lying in the westbound lane with multiple major injuries,” when they arrived to the scene just two minutes after the emergency call was made at 11:30 PM, according to the police report. Shrewsbury Fire Department assisted U-Mass EMA immobilize the victim’s spine. Bruno was then transported to University of Massachusetts Medical Center at the Lake Ave Campus.
