Spreading Thanksgiving Cheer

Each year, Boston philanthropists Jake and Sparky Kennedy, founders of Christmas in the City (CITC), strive to make other families’ Thanksgivings a little brighter. This year, nearly forty Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA) volunteers joined in their efforts at CITC’s Annual Turkey Drive. The event took place on November 23, at Kennedy Brothers Physical Therapy, where volunteers provided turkeys and other Thanksgiving food items. With regard to the MBA’s eagerness to become involved in CITC’s efforts, MBA President Douglas K. Sheff remarked, “Whether through pro bono legal assistance or community service, volunteerism is built into our association’s DNA. This was a natural fit for our attorney members.”The Turkey Drive was a great success and we hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!
