United States Senator From Massachusetts, Ed Markey, and Attorney Douglas Sheff Fight for Workers Rights

United States Senator Ed Markey and Boston personal injury lawyer Doug Sheff

Following a successful term as President of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Attorney Douglas Sheff continues to work for the rights of all Massachusetts citizens with United States Senator Ed Markey. Both Attorney Sheff and Senator Markey are passionate advocates for Massachusetts workers and their families.

Senator Markey is known for his stance against attempts to strip workers of their rights to organize and collectively bargain. He is working hard to raise the minimum wage, expand benefits, such as healthcare to workers, and increase workplace safety. For his efforts fighting for workers, the Senator has been endorsed by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), the Association of Federal, State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), Massachusetts Teachers Association (MTA), and the American Federation of Teachers Massachusetts (AFT).

Senator Markey has always supported fair wages for Massachusetts workers and will continue to do so in the future. He opposed attempts to repeal wage standards and supports Project Labor Agreements that improve salaries and working conditions for all workers. He supports increasing the minimum wage to keep up with rising standards of living, and he strongly backed the Employee Free Choice Act to ensure workers who seek a better future through union representation are not coerced, intimidated or threatened by employers trying to prevent them from exercising their legal rights.

As Attorney Sheff has worked tirelessly throughout his career and most recently as President of the Massachusetts Bar Association towards these same goals, Senator Markey looks to Massachusetts leaders like Attorney Sheff to support his causes.
