Concord Worker Killed by Comcast Truck

A man working at the side of the road in Concord was struck and killed by a pickup truck on November 26.

According to a statement from Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan, the unidentified man was working near the intersection of Independence and Alcott roads when he was struck by a 2016 Ford pickup owned by a utility company. The man was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Photos and video from the scene showed investigators examining a pickup truck with Comcast and Xfiniti decals. The driver, who was backing up at the time of the accident, remained at the scene.

Concord police and Massachusetts State Police were on the scene investigating the accident. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was notified.
