Authorities are investigating the tragic death of a worker after an incident at a construction site in Swampscott, MA on Monday afternoon. Police responded to the Aggregate Industries facility at 30 Danvers Road after receiving a 911 call reporting an issue with a rock crusher suspended above the site’s quarry. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, but has not yet been identified publicly, pending the notification of next of kin. Our deepest condolences go out to their family and the larger Swampscott community.

At this time, the case is being investigated by the Essex County District Attorney’s Office State Police Detective Unit, Swampscott Police, and the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA).
